ACTIVITIES: Drink tea in a remote Berber Village
As desert Nomads we were born in this environment, this is our home, our heritage and our tradition. Our Berber families live in a remote village, possibly the oldest in the region. We invite you on a trip to drink tea with them and to see the lifestyle in this isolated landscape. You can discover how they interact with the harsh environments, build their houses, grow their crops and feed their animals.
From the camp we return to the road and take a 4x4 on the off road tracks that start where the tarred road finishes in the village of Taouz. This is also the old Dakar rally track and is used by drivers to practice their navigation and map reading skills. From here we cross the varied landscapes for approximately 50 kilometres to the village. You will experience the true desert hospitality with tea and traditional sweets. We return the same way and take you back to the camp.
